  • Apple ID Identifier: A unique, anonymous identifier provided by Sign in with Apple for authentication purposes.
  • Drawings: Images captured or selected by the user for story generation.
  • Generated Stories: Comic panels and narration text created from drawings.
  • App Preferences: Language settings and display preferences.

How We Use Information

We use the information collected solely for the purpose of providing the DrawTales service:

  • Authentication: To identify users and enable app functionality.
  • Story Generation: Drawings are processed by AI to create personalized comic stories.
  • Service Improvement: Anonymous usage analytics to improve app performance.

Data Storage

Local Storage: Stories and drawings are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.

iCloud Sync: If enabled, your data syncs across your Apple devices using iCloud. This data is encrypted and managed by Apple according to their privacy practices.

Server Processing: When generating stories, drawings are temporarily transmitted to our secure servers for AI processing. We do not retain drawings or generated content on our servers after processing is complete.

Third-Party Services

DrawTales uses the following third-party services:

  • Apple: Sign in with Apple for authentication and iCloud for optional data sync.
  • Google Cloud: For secure AI processing of drawings and story generation. Data is processed in accordance with Google Cloud's privacy and security standards.

Children's Privacy

DrawTales is designed for children ages 4-8 and requires parental oversight:

  • Parental Consent: Sign in with Apple provides verifiable parental consent as it requires an Apple ID, which typically belongs to a parent or guardian for children in this age group.
  • No Direct Marketing: We do not show ads or engage in marketing directed at children.
  • Limited Data Collection: We only collect data necessary for app functionality.
  • No Social Features: The app does not include chat, sharing, or social networking features that would allow children to share personal information.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request information about the data we have associated with your account.
  • Deletion: Delete your stories from within the app, or request complete account deletion by contacting us.
  • Opt-out: Disable iCloud sync at any time in the app settings.

Data Security

  • Secure cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform)
  • No retention of processed drawings on our servers
