What ages is DrawTales for?
DrawTales is designed for ages 4–8, but children of any age (and adults!) can enjoy turning drawings into stories.
What kind of drawings work?
Any drawing on paper works — crayons, markers, colored pencils, even ballpoint pen. Just make sure there's enough contrast against the paper.
Does my child need to draw well?
Not at all! DrawTales turns any drawing into a story, no matter the skill level. Stick figures, scribbles, and abstract art all work.
Is my child's data safe?
Absolutely. DrawTales has no ads, no tracking, and no social features. Stories are stored on your device and synced privately via iCloud. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Does it work offline?
Creating new stories requires an internet connection for AI processing. However, stories you've already created can be read and listened to offline.
How many stories can my child create?
The free tier includes 3 stories per month. With a DrawTales subscription, your child can create up to 50 stories per month.
What devices are supported?
DrawTales works on iPhone and iPad running iOS 18 or later.
